Chairman's Message
Just about everyone knows someone that has been diagnosed with cancer. My mother fought the disease and lost the battle when she was 55. One of my dearest friends was diagnosed with bile duct cancer and 10 months later, lost the battle. After watching and researching the treatments that they received, along with side effects, I felt there had to be better treatment methods available. In the early part of 2011, I began my journey to explore options for people diagnosed with cancerous tumors. The options seemed endless with opinions all over the map. After months of research, the CyberKnife and TomoTherapy from Accuray stood apart from the rest. These two state-of-the-art technologies from Accuray, were in the final stages of testing the newest generations of both devices and a decision was made that Premier Cancer Centers Dallas would have them both.
On May 15th 2013, we began treating with the first TomoTherapy H Series HD in the world and in August of 2013 the second CyberKnife M6 in the United States began its life changing delivery of precision robotic guided radiation treatment. Since opening, Premier Cancer Centers Dallas has performed close to two thousand successful, precision treatments with sub-millimeter accuracy.
I am so proud of our staff and all the people around us that believe in our delivery of care. We all believe that you are family when you make the decision to come to Premier. I wish my mother and my close friend could have had the opportunity to have the care we provide. I wake up each and every day thankful to have been on this journey.
